The co-founders of the company include one of Canada’s top gastroenterologists, and a passionate ulcerative colitis patient with extensive experience managing educational programs for doctors. Position title: Web Developer


  • Use Ruby on Rails to build a strong, stable product
  • Use HTML5/CSS3 and JavaScript (jQuery/AngularJS) to build a beautiful UI
  • Provide technical leadership


  • Strong development skills
  • Ability to do everything from server management / deployment to back-end & front-end development
  • Experienced at JavaScript, ideally with knowledge of at least one client-side framework
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to work with people
  • Commitment to agile software development methodologies including TDD, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
  • Prior start-up experience

Nice to haves:

  • Comfortable with relational databases and SQL
  • Comfortable with Linux and managing a cloud environment (AWS, Heroku or VPS’s)
  • Proficient in defining and using APIs, especially those using REST
  • Proficient at Git and very comfortable managing a continuous integration process

Big bonus points if you have experience in the digital health field and a passion for making a difference in peoples’ health.
