Gilaad Kaplan, MD, MPH, FRCPC is an innovator in the gastroenterology field. He serves as Director of the Environmental Health Research Group at the University of Calgary, a group which he founded in 2011.
In the same year, he was named one of Calgary’s Top 40 Under 40 in Avenue Magazine.
An active researcher, Dr. Kaplan is an Alberta-Innovates Health Solutions Population Health Investigator and is also an executive member of the Alberta IBD Consortium, studying gene-environment-microbial interactions in patients with IBD across the province
